Im Rahmen des Wagen & Winnen Festivals öffnen Kim Köster, Niels Grugel und Eva Nalbach ihre Türen. Drei künstlerische Handschriften treffen aufeinander: Kim Kösters verspielte Bildwelten, Niels Grugels feinsinnige Abstraktionen und Eva Nalbachs freie Arbeiten spannen einen Bogen zwischen Realität und Imagination.

Kim Köster
Kim Köster was born and raised in the north German village of Worpswede. Growing up in this artists’ colony, surrounded by the dark woods and moorland, fed into his artistic ambitions and inspired his interest in melancholic, dark or eerie themes. He entered the global urban arts area at a young age, traveling across Europe, Australia, Canada, and South America, gradually making a name for himself through his work in derelict buildings, painting characters that seemingly interact with the dilapidated environment around them, blending art with architectural elements.
Since 2020 Kim shifted his work environment from abandoned buildings to the atelier, predominantly working with paint on canvas. The work is developed in series, taking one motif and one medium, and creating a range of individual works within the given parameters. He continues to be interested in a variety of mediums to express his artistic ideas, both abstract and figurative, analogue and digital.
Niels Grugel
Niels Grugel (geboren in Worpswede, Niedersachsen) ist Künstler, Designer und autodidaktischer Holzhandwerker. Nach Stationen in Berliner Künstlerkollektiven, einem Kommunikationsdesign-Studium in Potsdam und Arbeit als Creative Director gründete er 2020 eigene Werkstätten auf dem Land.
Seine Arbeiten verbinden Design, Handwerk und Kunst: experimentelle Materialstudien, Prototypenbau und präzise Verarbeitung treffen auf Typografie, Malerei und Architektur. Kunst versteht er als Prozess, in dem sich Gestaltung, Handwerk und Emotion immer wieder neu verschränken.
